About the role
This hands-on, foundational role supports day-to-day operations in a fast-paced wholesale environment serving contractors and industry professionals. While prior industry experience is preferred, it is not required; we provide world-class training to set you up for success from day one.
Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Sales
- Greet customers, answer calls, field questions, and build customer relationships.
- Support customers in selecting landscape materials, outdoor supplies, and irrigation product recommendations.
- Warehouse & Yard Operations
- Pull, stage, and load customer orders, including stone, soil, mulch, and hardscape materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, well-stocked, and welcoming warehouse and yard while following all equipment and material-handling safety standards.
- Inventory Management
- Receive and stock deliveries and transfers.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy checks.
- Delivery and Transportation
- Load and unload materials using company delivery vehicles while following all safety protocols.
- Safely deliver customer materials in company delivery vehicles to local job sites, providing world-class customer service upon arrival.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Basic math and communication skills.
- Eagerness to work as a team and deliver world-class customer service.
- Comfortable working most of your shift on your feet and performing repetitive physical tasks, such as stooping, squatting, and lifting items above your head.
- Comfortable operating and making deliveries on a daily route in an Isuzu NRR 650 or similar commercial vehicle.
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships.
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Warehouse associate experience.
- Delivery driver experience.
- Forklift certification.
- Knowledge of irrigation, plumbing, or landscape materials.
- Bilingual (Spanish & English).
- Proven work experience as a Customer Service Associate, Sales Associate, or similar role.
- Knowledge of inventory stocking procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions (willing to train the right candidate).
Pay
$18–20/hr, depending on experience.
