About the role
D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is seeking a Customer Service Technician to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction among homeowners. The ideal candidate will handle all warranty-related requests and repairs, ensuring that homeowner issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates homeowner repair issues to determine if they are warrantable items
- Processes written or electronic work orders and/or verbal instructions from supervisors for homeowner repairs
- Performs necessary repairs such as carpentry work, drywall, texture repair, and painting
- Schedules and manages subcontractors for designated warranty repairs
- Ensures all repairs comply with standards and are completed within contractor obligations
- Certifies warranty work and follows up with homeowners to address concerns
- Processes charge-back documentation and invoices
- Works independently and communicates effectively with subcontractors and homeowners
- Works overtime and travels overnight as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three or more years of related experience, including carpentry, drywall, texture repair, and painting
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive among designated communities in daytime and nighttime
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior customer service experience
- Experience with minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repair work

Pay
$60,000 - $75,000 per year
