About the role

Givens Estates, a non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community, is seeking a Part-Time Customer Service Specialist to support our Independent Living Dining team. The primary purpose of this position is to create a warm and inviting dining experience for returning and new residents/guests.

The schedule for this position is 3-4 days a week, Monday through Saturday, with shifts varying from 11:00am–2:00pm and 3:30pm–7:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in the use of the POS system and provide cross-training to other staff regarding its use
  • Complete opening and closing duties in a timely manner
  • Keep beverage station, condiments, silverware, and all customer supplies stocked before, during, and after service
  • Maintain high-quality customer service and serve as the primary person responsible for customer interactions
  • Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for new team members
  • Perform any other duties and/or tasks as assigned by an authorized supervisor

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in food service operations
  • Working knowledge of sanitary standards related to food handling and preparation
  • Ability to handle and operate equipment in the assigned area

Pay

$17.50 – $19.00/hour, based on experience.
