Customer Service Specialist

Primary Responsibilities

  • Aids the Account Executive team in providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Manages customer orders from placement through shipment and billing.
  • Maintains awareness of backorders, production schedules, and inventory reports.
  • Communicates effectively with customers regarding backorder situations.
  • Notifies the Account Executive or Customer Service Manager of any service-related concerns or issues.

Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in customer service or an administrative role.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent telephone skills.
  • Proficient use of data entry software, particularly ERP systems like PeopleSoft and CRM software like Salesforce.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and practices.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish successful relationships with both internal and external customers.

Education, Licenses & Certifications

  • High School diploma or GED.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Frequent use of the phone, selling goods, taking orders, and resolving customer issues.
  • Occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 10 pounds, and repetitive computer and administrative tasks requiring hand activity.
  • General office environment with occasional exposure to manufacturing areas.
  • Must comply with safety standards and use required personal protective equipment.
