Customer Service Specialist I

About the role

We are looking for a Customer Service Specialist I to support our SJE Rhombus brand. This role will work out of our Detroit Lakes, MN location. Detroit Lakes is the home office for SJE and is the leading manufacturer of liquid level control products, including pump control panels, alarm systems, float switches, and level monitoring solutions. Our SJE Rhombus brand is a leading provider of liquid level control products and pump control solutions for the water, wastewater, and sewage industries across residential, commercial, municipal, industrial, and agricultural sectors.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional experience for customers by listening to and understanding their needs to deliver effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Serve as the central point of contact for customers, assisting with questions and complaints.
• Update customer information in the company database.
• Process orders efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

• High school diploma (2-year degree preferred).
• At least 1-2 years of computer-based order entry experience.
• Experience in customer service, including phone and computer-based order entry (manufacturing environment a plus).
• Willingness to train on the production floor to learn products.

Skills

• Extremely detail-oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills for communicating with internal and external customers.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and multitask.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in computer skills.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Pay

The starting wage for this position is $17–$20 per hour, depending on experience.
