Customer Service Specialist - East Moline, IL

Primary Responsibilities

• Liaises between internal and external customers
• Advocates for quality customer experience through relationships, knowledge, and experience
• Manages existing and new accounts relationships
• Promotes new products and communicates pricing information
• Responds promptly to requests and resolves complaints
• Maintains quality service
• Handles all customer requests from placement through shipment and billing
• Marks up and reviews production, scheduling, and inventory reports daily
• Communicates in a timely manner with customers on backorder situations
• Advises management and outside sales of changes in lead time or production problems
• Completes Special Approval Requests and Buying Agreements for deviated pricing
• Verifies price on orders to ensure billing accuracy
• Follows up proactively on quoted projects to assist in securing orders

Experience

• Customer account management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Excellent telephone skills (primary liaison)
• Proficient use of data entry software, including ERP software like PeopleSoft and CRM software like Salesforce
• Knowledge of customer service principles and processes
• Able to build rapport and establish successful relationships with internal and external customers

Education, Licenses & Certifications

• A four-year college degree preferred, or at least four years’ experience in customer account management, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Total Compensation

Salary - Starting in the upper $40ks
