Customer Service Specialist - Automotive Finishes
About the Role
This full-time position is located at Automotive Branch #9208, 6300 Jimmy Carter Blvd., Norcross, GA 30071. The schedule is Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 5pm, based on business needs and subject to change. Job duties involve contact with customers, which may include minors, and access to cash, payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and other items of value. A review of criminal history is required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Prepare orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule in a safe and timely manner (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
- Load and unload products from deliveries.
- Operate all material handling, tinting, mixing, and testing equipment safely.
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment, including forklifts, hand trucks/pallet jacks, and carts.
- Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
- Process sales transactions in the POS accurately and consistently with policies and procedures.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure the stockroom is organized and comply with inventory control procedures.
- Assist with bi-annual inventory review and complete Monthly and Quarterly Safety Training.
- Assist in the Physical Inventory Process, conducted semi-annually.
- Assist in promoting sales specials and initiatives.
- Based on business needs, perform keyholder responsibilities including branch opening, end-of-day procedures, and nightly bank deposits.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
- Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willing to work all scheduled hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- At least one (1) year of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of work experience in a Sherwin-Williams Automotive Branch or in the automotive industry.
- At least two (2) years of work experience in customer service, retail, or sales.
- At least one (1) year of work experience using material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, order pickers, vacuum hoists, drum dollies, conveyor belts).
- High School diploma or GED.
