About the role
Rock Island Auction Company (RIAC), the #1 firearms auction house in the world, is seeking a full-time Customer Service Specialist in Rock Island, Illinois.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone, email, live chat, and in-person interactions
- Aid customers with auction registrations, bidding inquiries, including bid input, payment assistance, and general account support
- Perform outbound calling for bid solicitation and client contact
- Process customer invoices and handle post-auction follow-ups, ensuring timely payments and account updates
- Create and update customer data within multiple in-house databases
Qualifications
- Ability to learn and apply ATF compliance and internal protocols
- Consistently deliver world-class customer support with professional image and conduct with all internal and external stakeholders
- Effective professional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
- Intermediate proficiency with computers (including Microsoft Office) and office equipment
- Basic math skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in a related field preferred
- One year of experience in customer service, administrative support, or a related role
- Experience in auction services, retail, or high-volume customer interaction environments is a plus

Pay
$20.00/hour
Schedule
Standard hours of operations are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST with overtime and weekend hours, as needed.
