About the role

The Customer Service Specialist position acts as the receptionist for the Program. The Customer Service Specialist is also responsible for providing routine clerical and administrative support with projects as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Answers telephones and acts as receptionist for program, triages phones calls and gathers pertinent information from callers to accurately log the data elements of each and every call.
  • Performs functions necessary for the initial registration and inputs individual’s data into computer.
  • Assists in the process of gathering data necessary to perform billing and audit functions as requested.
  • Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies and procedures as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
  • Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
  • Oversees the use, maintenance, and repair of office equipment.
  • Maintains petty cash.
  • Maintains an organized office filing system that assures confidentiality of all documents.
  • Safeguards the facility reception areas are neat and orderly at all times.
  • Affords assistance in the ordering and stocking of office supplies as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education/Licenses: High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of clerical or office experience required.
  • Skills: Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite; Effective communication both verbally and in writing; Excellent interpersonal skills; Excellent customer service skills; Organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy; Works cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Other Requirements: Must be able to pass de-escalation training, as defined by state requirements; Driving Requirements: If driving is required for this position, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations driving policy; Must be at least 18 years old unless residing in a state where funder or government regulations set a different minimum age requirement; Must be able to pass a seven-year background check; Must be able to pass substance abuse testing and/or tuberculous testing (if applicable); Must be able to pass education verification check; Must be able to obtain designated fingerprinting clearance in applicable states; Must be able to pass three-year motor vehicle report and meet minimum eligibility requirements criteria of insurance carrier (if driving is required for this position).
