Essential Functions
- Schedules all delivery orders and requests from customers using discretion and independent judgment.
- Enters all orders into the computer for dispatch, requiring specialized training for technical lines.
- Maintains rail billing before containers are delivered to the railroad and validates in-bound documentation with US customs if necessary.
- Verifies bookings are released at depots for export moves and traces import containers to confirm delivery by the last free day.
- Prepares customer reports and tracking/tracing as required, including divisional pool, MDR, CNI, Daily Activity, and Dispatch Status.
- Notifies the Cargo Specialist Supervisor or management of all service failures and proposes/implements solutions to improve overall customer service.
- Updates location profiles in the computer system and works as a dispatcher as needed based on volume/vacation schedules.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
