As a Customer Service Specialist II, you will help drive a customer-focused, responsive attitude for Delfield, providing "Best in Class" service to customers through account management, product knowledge, and professionalism. This is an on-site position.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts for assigned customers, including entering, monitoring, and tracking purchase orders while communicating status updates.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, production, and distribution departments for specific accounts.
  • Provide account management support, including monitoring stocking agreements, entering blanket orders, and ensuring timely order entry based on lead times.
  • Foster strong customer relationships through regular communication with multiple levels of the customer’s organization.
  • Enter and track orders in the information/processing system, staying aware of order status, lead times, delivery schedules, and equipment returns/replacements.
  • Communicate clearly with customers via telephone and email, addressing inquiries, complaints, and resolving issues with ownership until resolution.
  • Use sound judgment to resolve customer issues, including offering replacements or upgrades within established dollar value ranges.
  • Assist in training and mentoring less experienced Customer Service team members.
  • Operate in alignment with the company’s core values.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving/analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills and adaptability to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Excellent time management skills, including prioritization and meeting deadlines.
