Customer Service - Self Storage Manager

About the role

Property Managers work independently across multiple locations, spending time both inside and outside facilities. The role involves assessing customer storage needs, selling packing and moving supplies, conducting daily unit inspections, auditing cash drawers, making bank deposits, managing customer payments and collections, and performing cleaning and maintenance tasks to maintain curb appeal.

Pay

$18.00 per hour. Property Managers have the opportunity to earn performance-based bonuses.

Schedule

Flexible and full-time schedules between 9:30 am and 6:00 pm (weekends until 5:00 pm). Employees become eligible for full-time benefits by working an average of 20+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer storage needs and make recommendations, including selling packing and moving supplies
• Conduct daily storage unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits
• Help keep customers current with payments; make reminder and collection calls as needed
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance: sweeping/mopping interior areas, maintaining exterior grounds and curb appeal free of debris
• Work independently at multiple locations, both indoors and outdoors

Requirements

• Ability to transport, lift, or move items weighing up to 35 pounds
• Ability to walk in and around facilities, spending up to 50% of time in outdoor environments, including climbing stairs and opening large doors
• Valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle for travel between work locations and other work-related business (mileage reimbursement provided)

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service–centered sales environments such as retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies
