The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) offered by AARP Foundation can help you learn new skills while giving back to your community. If you're over 55 and currently between jobs, you can gain work experience, receive on-the-job training, and get professional job placement assistance.
Responsibilities
SCSEP matches eligible jobseekers with local nonprofits and public agencies for paid training assignments. Positions include but are not limited to:
- Administrative-Clerical
- Custodian-Building Maintenance
- Customer Service Representative
Requirements
To apply for a training assignment, you must be:
- 55 years of age or older
- Unemployed
- Living on a limited income
- A resident of one of the following counties: Schuylkill, Bradford, Columbia, Lackawanna, Monroe, Montour, Pike, Wayne
