Customer Service Representative - Patuxent River

About the role
As a Customer Service Representative, you will provide customer service to all prospective and current residents within a multi-family residential community. Your role includes answering phones, taking and following up on service requests, and assisting with the resident move-in process—showing homes, completing leases, and ensuring resident needs are met. You will work efficiently to deliver exemplary service in accordance with Liberty Military Housing’s quality customer satisfaction standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist prospective residents with lease information, community details, and the move-in process.
- Prepare lease documents for residents, including pet and allotment details.
- Ensure all lease paperwork is completed and entered into the system.
- Respond to and manage resident complaints and service issues; coordinate with staff to resolve concerns.
- Support residents during the move-out process, including notice to vacate and resident transfers.
- Manage the resident lease process, finalizing leases and providing community and service information.
- Perform post-turn unit inspections and complete move-in inventory inspections with new residents.
- Follow up with residents on work orders, service requests, or expressed concerns.
- Handle lease renewal notifications and timely resident notices to renew or vacate.
- Work with the maintenance team to ensure service requests are assigned, scheduled, and completed promptly.
- Follow up with residents to ensure services meet LMH standards and resident satisfaction.
- Promote positive resident relations by addressing concerns and requests in a timely manner.
- Participate in outreach marketing activities, such as market surveys and competitor analysis.
- Perform general office duties, including phone management, filing, and special projects.
- Complete administrative and computer tasks, including data entry into systems like Payscan and Yardi.
- Compose and distribute correspondence and notices (e.g., 3-day notices, move-out charges, renewals).
- Participate in property walks and inspections to ensure community maintenance standards.
- Attend department or regional meetings, resident events, seminars, and other work-related functions.
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations, local laws, Fair Housing requirements, and LMH policies.
- Operate a company or personal vehicle for work-related travel.
Requirements
- 6+ months of experience in residential property management or customer service (preferred).
- Proficiency in personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email, and internet search.
- Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, Payscan) is preferred.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, management, and coworkers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, prioritize, and complete assigned duties.
- Positive and professional demeanor in all interactions and circumstances.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company or personal vehicle or electrical cart.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, off-hours, and emergencies.

Pay
$18.00 - $22.00 hourly.
