Customer Service Representative – Parts Department
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming spare parts orders by phone, fax, and email.
- Assist customers, dealers, and distributors with replacement parts inquiries.
- Capture, prepare, package, invoice, and ship spare parts orders.
- Prepare shipping documents and ensure order accuracy.
- Provide timely and professional customer support regarding parts availability, order status, and related questions.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and order documentation.
- Support inventory control activities, including tracking parts and assisting with stock accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve customer or order-related issues.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of experience in customer service, retail, parts sales, or a related field preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows-based systems.
- Able to accurately process orders and maintain detailed records.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge or familiarity with consumer home audio electronics is a plus.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical components is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and handle parts and packages as needed.
Pay
The hiring range for this position in the primary work location of Binghamton, New York is: $16.00-$18.56 per hour.
