What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Provide quality service by responding to telephonic, written, and electronic inquiries from employees, members, providers, and clients in a high-volume call center
  • Navigate multiple system applications and resources to accurately respond to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, claim status, and more
  • Document all inquiries and actions taken using applicable software applications while adhering to employer guidelines
  • Work rotating Saturday and Sunday shifts as part of the normal schedule
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and problem-solving skills while dealing with customer inquiries

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • A minimum of 1 year previous customer service experience
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, structured service-oriented environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong reasoning and analytical skills to resolve customer issues quickly and accurately

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced call center
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Familiarity with Summary Plan Documents (SPDs) or other benefit descriptive tools
  • Experience working in a performance-measured environment with quality metrics
