What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Provide quality service by responding to telephonic, written, and electronic inquiries from employees, members, providers, and clients in a high-volume call center
- Navigate multiple system applications and resources to accurately respond to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, claim status, and more
- Document all inquiries and actions taken using applicable software applications while adhering to employer guidelines
- Work rotating Saturday and Sunday shifts as part of the normal schedule
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and problem-solving skills while dealing with customer inquiries
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year previous customer service experience
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, structured service-oriented environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong reasoning and analytical skills to resolve customer issues quickly and accurately
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Prior experience in a fast-paced call center
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with Summary Plan Documents (SPDs) or other benefit descriptive tools
- Experience working in a performance-measured environment with quality metrics
