Responsibilities

• Handle patient scheduling, appointments, and multi-phone line management
• Gather and manage new patient data, including tracking all patient referrals
• Disseminate information to patients and act as a liaison between patients and physicians
• Send and log all reports to doctors, and maintain records of incoming reports
• Collect payments, verify insurance, and process copayments
• Manage mail distribution, including sorting and sending benefits paperwork to billing companies
• Coordinate evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders, and cancellations
• Collect new patient intake information and track clinic referrals
• Fax reports to physicians and maintain logs of all communications
• Verify insurance coverage and track insurance-covered visits
• Communicate with the office manager and clinicians about scheduling and patient arrivals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED certificate)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity, and empathy for patients in pain
