About the Role
As the first and last person our clients see when they enter and leave our cutting-edge physical therapy facility, you will play a central role in daily operations. You’ll join a supportive team dedicated to helping patients return to the lives they love through non-traditional, individualized treatment plans. Responsibilities
- Handle patient scheduling, appointments, and multi-phone line management
- Gather and track new patient data and referrals
- Disseminate information to patients and act as a liaison between patients and physicians
- Send and log reports to doctors
- Collect payments, verify insurance, and process copays
- Manage benefits paperwork and communicate with billing companies
- Coordinate evaluations, re-evaluations, appointment reminders, and cancellations
- Collect new patient intake information and track clinic referrals
- Fax reports to physicians and maintain logs of incoming reports
- Verify insurance coverage and track insurance-covered visits
- Process mail and track Explanation of Benefits for billing
- Communicate with office manager and clinicians about scheduling and patient arrivals
Requirements
- Must have medical insurance verification and authorization experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
