Responsibilities
- Manage a multi-line phone system and serve as the primary point of contact for patients, physicians, and referral sources.
- Schedule new patient evaluations, follow-up visits, re-evaluations, cancellations, and appointment reminders while coordinating clinician schedules.
- Collect and maintain new patient intake information and track referrals from physicians and other providers.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, monitor authorized visits, collect patient payments and copayments, and process insurance-related documentation.
- Prepare, transmit, and maintain logs of clinical reports and documentation sent to referring physicians.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, including Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and forward billing documentation to the billing company.
- Cook up communication among patients, clinicians, and office management to ensure efficient daily clinic operations.
- Respond to patient inquiries, provide scheduling and treatment information, and serve as a patient liaison to deliver excellent customer service.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and committed to providing exceptional service to patients experiencing pain or mobility challenges.
- Proficient in working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
