About the Role
Customer Service Representatives are an integral part of the Recreation Division with the City of Greeley. They provide quality customer service to patrons of Greeley Recreation facilities, oversee entry desk operations, and assist with the supervision, training, and scheduling of part-time/seasonal employees. They also provide information about facilities, programs, services, memberships, and events, process registrations, sell memberships, and schedule facility/park shelter rentals.
Requirements

- General knowledge of procedures, practices, or operations
- Entry-level knowledge of complex software

Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Greet patrons promptly and inquire about their activities to ensure safety
- Handle a high volume of telephone calls and transfers
- Provide courteous service for program registrations, facility bookings, park shelter reservations, and daily facility use
- Conduct facility tours and provide information about recreational facilities
- Develop relationships with participants, community members, and organizations
Personnel Management
- Assist in training and scheduling part-time/seasonal employees
- Support part-time/seasonal staff and resolve facility issues
- Communicate staff performance to direct supervisors
- Participate in operations staff meetings to maintain facility consistency
Technology and Risk Management
- Use recreation management software (RecTrac) for membership sales, program registration, facility rentals, and point-of-sale services
- Assist in updating marketing materials, websites, and social media with accurate information
- Follow and enforce risk management and emergency response trainings
Memberships and Operations
- Process and promote membership sales across all recreation facilities
- Assist in member appreciation events and promotions
- Help patrons register for activities, programs, and events
- Maintain and update family and organization accounts
- Conduct inventory, reconcile shortages/overages, and report to supervisors
- Reserve park shelters and collect rental fees
Fiscal Management and Assessment
- Monitor supply ordering for front desks, pro shops, and concessions
- Assist with surveys and focus groups to gauge member/guest satisfaction and gather feedback
Communication
- Coordinate facility reservations, inquiries, staffing, and supply orders
- Manage petty cash exchanges
Problem Solving and Decision-Making
Work within established routines and standing instructions, with some latitude to adapt procedures based on situations.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Exposure to indoor/outdoor work areas, including classrooms, offices, and recreational spaces
- Potential exposure to heavy object movement, noisy environments, extreme temperatures, bodily fluids, and hostile individuals
- Moderate to considerable physical effort, including working from ladders in awkward positions
- Frequent use of light to medium-weight objects (25-50 lbs) and tools
- Set up for special events and meetings
