Customer Service Representative, Full Time

About the role

The Customer Service Representative (U) at UHealth Tower is responsible for providing a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, families, and visitors. This role involves creating ID badges, assisting with parking validations, and offering directions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
• Execute departmental policies regarding HIPAA requirements.
• Create an online profile for patients, families, and visitors to streamline badge issuance.
• Adhere to the CICARE and ACT frameworks, demonstrating professionalism, cooperation, alertness, helpfulness, and receptiveness.
• Provide guidance and assistance to patients, families, and visitors as needed.
• Verify appointments in EPIC to validate parking.
• Work closely with Public Safety for managing unpermitted visitors.
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
• Cover weekend and evening shifts as required.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English; multilingual skills are preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm, professional, and empathic demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Commitment to the University’s core values and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior customer service experience is helpful.
• Knowledgeable about HIPAA requirements.
• Strong commitment to patient care and satisfaction.
