About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic Credit Union team in the Accounting and Finance industry. This role demands a unique blend of customer service skills, banking knowledge, and financial expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to all inbound calls in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize your keen understanding of our products and services to cross-sell to existing and potential customers.
  • Handle account maintenance tasks, ensuring all customer accounts are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Demonstrate your cash handling abilities by processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Use your knowledge of Symitar software to manage customer data and transactions.
  • Deliver a consistent and professional level of service within a call center environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Resolve customer issues and inquiries quickly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
  • Continually update your knowledge of banking regulations and credit union policies to ensure compliance.
  • Provide feedback on customer interactions and issues to help improve our service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer service role within the banking or finance industry.
  • Proven experience with Symitar software is highly desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Prior experience in a call center environment, handling inbound calls.
  • Demonstrated ability in account maintenance and cash handling.
  • Excellent cross-selling abilities, with a strong understanding of banking products and services.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers.
  • Sound knowledge of banking regulations and credit union policies.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
