About the Opportunity
The Customer Service Representative - Billing II role is designed to deliver empathetic and informed assistance to members regarding their health care billing questions. This position plays a critical role in resolving complex issues, facilitating member understanding of their plans, and supporting access to appropriate care. The role requires handling a high volume of calls daily and contributes directly to member satisfaction and clarity in billing matters.
Responsibilities
- Provide information and support to members to help them make informed health decisions
- Handle 50 to 70 caller interactions daily, addressing escalated billing issues
- Deliver compassionate and empathetic customer service
- Resolve complex health care and billing concerns clearly and positively
- Participate actively in training programs and maintain proficiency in call center protocols
- Work assigned shifts between 8:30 AM and 8:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday
- Occasionally work overtime as business needs require
Requirements
- Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, with 9-hour shifts including breaks
- Availability to attend initial training programs with specified schedules for approximately 90 days
- Capability to manage extended phone interactions and diverse caller communication styles
- Flexibility to work one of several shifts between 8:30 AM and 8:00 PM following training
Pay Range and Compensation Package
Pay starts at $17.20 per hour or more, based on relevant skills, experience, education, and certifications. Eligibility for annual performance-based bonus compensation.
