About the opportunity
Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a growing transportation and logistics company
Immediate opening due to an internal promotion
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM initially
Fully onsite
What you'll do
- Enter and update customer orders within the dispatch system
- Schedule and confirm pickup, loading, and delivery appointments
- Communicate with customers and drivers via phone and email
- Track container movements, equipment status, and load information
- Maintain operational reports
- Verify paperwork is received, scanned, and attached to loads accurately
- Review EDI systems for new orders and updates
- Cover workload when Fleet Managers are unavailable
- Support overall trucking and logistics operations through accurate data management and communication
Qualifications
- Customer service, logistics, dispatch, transportation, or operations experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and drivers
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced trucking and transportation environment
- Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and data entry systems
