About the role

Uptown Animal Hospital & Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to lead our team in providing compassionate, high-quality care to our animal patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, excellent communication skills, and a passion for making a positive impact on the community.

Responsibilities

  • Treating a variety of medical and surgical cases under the supervision of the hospital's veterinarians.
  • Assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries in animals.
  • Performing routine examinations, administering medications, and drawing blood samples.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Providing emotional support and education to pet owners during challenging times.

Requirements

  • A Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an AVMA-accredited institution.
  • Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Washington.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in a veterinary setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience with emergency and critical care.
  • Knowledge of internal medicine and surgery.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems.

Pay

$150,000 - $180,000 annually based on experience and qualifications.
