About the role

Uptown Animal Hospital & Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to lead our team in providing exceptional care to our patients and clients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for veterinary medicine and a desire to make a significant impact on the community.

Responsibilities

• Treatment and management of a variety of medical cases including surgery, internal medicine, and emergency care
• Assisting in the development and implementation of new protocols and procedures
• Collaborating with other veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Providing leadership and mentorship to veterinary assistants and technicians
• Participating in continuing education opportunities to stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine

Requirements

• Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an AVMA accredited school
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Washington State
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a veterinary setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Experience with digital medical records and electronic health record systems
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Skills

• Proficiency in surgical techniques
• Knowledge of pharmacology and anesthesia
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
