Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities

  • Aid customers inside and outside U-Haul centers with U-Haul products and services.
  • Use smartphone-based U-Scan technology to manage rentals and inventory.
  • Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
  • Clean and inspect equipment on the lot including checking fluid levels.
  • Answer questions and educate customers regarding products and services.
  • Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returned from rental.
  • Install hitches and trailer wiring.
  • Fill propane (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
  • Drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul upon employment).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Work two hands-on working interviews and get paid for each.
  • Complete U-Haul Equipment Inspection and Verification through 1-2-3 Punch Certification Program at retail stores to receive a $300 cash bonus.

  • People-oriented and enjoy helping others.
  • Flexible schedule to work Saturdays and Sundays.

Skills

  • Customer service skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a forklift (certification provided).
