Customer Service Representative
Location: Louisville, KY (Onsite)
About The Role
We are seeking customer-focused professionals to join a fast-paced call center team supporting tax professionals and consumers during the busy tax season. This role is ideal for candidates with strong customer service experience who enjoy helping others, communicating clearly, and working in a high-volume environment. As a Customer Service Representative, you will provide account information, explain products and programs, assist customers with inquiries, and deliver an exceptional customer experience across phone, chat, and email channels.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound customer calls efficiently and professionally
- Provide accurate account and product information
- Support customers with inquiries regarding tax refund-related programs
- Assist tax professionals and their clients with service-related questions
- Conduct outbound discovery calls to previous customers and transfer interested customers to the sales team
- Complete customer request forms and documentation
- Accurately document all customer interactions
- Manage multiple customer conversations while maintaining attention to detail
- Respond to customer inquiries through chat and email channels
- Meet quality, productivity, and service-level expectations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency and accurate data entry skills
- Ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
- Administrative experience, including email and chat correspondence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous call center experience
- Financial services or banking experience
- Excel proficiency
- Experience supporting customers via chat or email
- Bilingual skills

Schedule
- Standard Hours (September – December): 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM
- Peak Season Hours:
- December: 8:45 AM – 6:00 PM
- January – March: 8:45 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturdays (January – March): 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Overtime opportunities are available during peak season, with many team members earning significant additional income through voluntary overtime.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00/hour. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Duration
This is a contract assignment lasting approximately 6 months, with most assignments ending mid-March to early April based on business needs.
