About The Role

The Customer Service Representative position is a vital role within Optum, responsible for delivering exceptional support to customers and pharmacy partners. This full-time, remote opportunity allows you to work from the comfort of your home within designated states including Texas, North Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Indiana, South Carolina, Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, or Oklahoma. The role involves managing inbound and outbound calls, addressing inquiries related to home delivery pharmacy services and pharmacy benefits, and ensuring customer satisfaction through active listening and accurate documentation. The position offers a dynamic environment where performance is recognized and rewarded through incentives, bonuses, and opportunities for advancement. Training is conducted virtually, requiring full engagement and on-camera participation, setting the foundation for success in this customer-centric role.

Responsibilities

  • Handle 60-80 incoming calls daily from customers and pharmacies regarding pharmacy delivery and benefits
  • Ask relevant questions and actively listen to customer needs
  • Document all interactions accurately in the computer systems
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to customers as needed
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and empathetic communication
  • Participate in scheduled shift changes and bid processes, ranking preferences based on performance
  • Complete training and adhere to company policies, including on-camera requirements during virtual sessions
  • Adhere to confidentiality and data security standards for sensitive information
  • Contribute positively to team performance and meet individual performance metrics

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to attend 3-4 weeks of virtual training with 100% attendance
  • Availability to work any of the scheduled 8-hour shifts within business hours (5:00 am - 11:00 pm local time)
  • Reside within designated remote states (TX, NC, FL, GA, MO, IN, SC, AZ, KS, KY, OK)
