About the role

Steel Dynamics is assisting and backing up the Inside Sales Representative team. The role involves working with Inside Sales on orders, reports, analysis, and other tasks. It also includes providing backup support when Inside Sales representatives are out, monitoring and expediting production and shipments, and exceeding customer expectations for timely responses and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Working with Inside Sales on orders, reports, and analysis
  • Providing Inside Sales Representative (ISR) backup when they are out
  • Making sure production and shipments are monitored and expedited
  • Exceeding customer expectations for timely responses and communication
  • Collaborating internally with all departments to provide exceptional customer service
  • Maintaining meeting or exceeding monthly shipping goals
  • Maintaining meeting or exceeding key departmental measurements

Requirements

  • A minimum two-year Associates degree
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and well organized
  • Customer service passion and attitude
  • Problem-solving skills and experience
  • Willingness to go the 'extra mile' for service and problem resolution
  • Ability to work with people from all organizational levels and backgrounds
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PC applications

Preferred

  • An accredited four-year Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • Three or more years of Customer Service or Sales experience
