Customer Service Representative
About the role
A Customer Service Receptionist Representative serves as the first point of contact for customers, clients, and visitors. This role combines receptionist duties with customer service responsibilities, ensuring a welcoming environment while providing accurate information, resolving inquiries, and supporting daily administrative operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors, customers, and clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly or escalate when necessary.
- Maintain customer records and update information in company databases.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries.
- Process transactions, forms, applications, or service requests.
- Aid with general administrative and clerical tasks.
- Ensure the reception area remains organized and presentable.
- Provide information about company products, services, and policies.
Requirements
- A high school qualification or equivalent.
- Customer service excellence.
- Time management.
- Organization and attention to detail.
- Type 45 words per minute.
- Ability to obtain a PERC license within 30 days of employment.
- Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances.
- Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time.
- Knowledge of computers, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition.
Physical Requirements
- Constant – Seeing, hearing, feeling, standing, walking, and sitting.
- Occasional – reaching, stooping, climbing, balancing, driving, bending, twisting, handling paperwork.
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screening.
