Duties
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Handle medical collections and process payments accurately.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Assist veterinarians with patient intake, including gathering relevant information about pets’ health and behavior.
- Provide information to clients regarding pet care, services offered, and veterinary terminology.
- Manage phone calls, emails, and inquiries from clients in a professional manner.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth operations within the clinic.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not mandatory; kennel experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry, handling, and care techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and medical collection processes is highly desirable.
- Experience in animal restraint, catheterization, critical care, or laboratory work will be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Aseptic technique knowledge is an advantage for assisting with procedures as needed.
- Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing excellent customer service in a compassionate manner.
