Customer Service Representative

Responsibilities

• Handle telephones and provide excellent customer service
• Handle patient appointment scheduling
• Handle patient check-in
• Handle insurance verification
• Handle authorization and pre-certifications
• Handle referrals
• Handle posting charges
• Handle initial collections
• Prepare well-coded and accurate billing
• Maintain medical records
• Manage business services for workers compensation, commercial carriers, employee health and corporate accounts
• May work late hours, holidays, and weekends
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor of the department

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Less than 1 Year Clerical/Administrative experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• IT/computer proficient
• Basic math skills
• Knowledge of insurance verification and medical billing helpful
