Customer Service Representative

About the role

The Customer Service Representative handles incoming calls from policyholders, insurance agents and providers. They provide information regarding claim benefits, policy status, policy benefits, billing and premium information in the most efficient way possible. This person provides this information by the use of various internal systems. The Customer Service Representative is also responsible for identifying and managing at-risk policies by proactively engaging policyholders, resolving concerns, and supporting policy retention initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls from policyholders, insurance agents and providers
• Provide information regarding claim benefits, policy status, policy benefits, billing and premium information
• Navigate various internal systems to provide information
• Identify and manage at-risk policies
• Proactively engage policyholders to resolve concerns and support policy retention initiatives

Requirements

• Customer Service experience, call center preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent, 1-2 years of college preferred
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• High level of attention to detail plus ability to navigate within multiple systems
• Experience with Microsoft Office Word
• Bilingual – Spanish a plus

Pay

The pay range for this role is $26.50 - $27.50. The pay range provided is not a guarantee of compensation. The range reflects potential pay for the job grade for this role at the time of this posting. Compensation will depend on several factors such as specific competencies, relevant education and experience, qualifications, and industry certifications.

Schedule

Everyone receives 3 flexible remote days per month. And, we offer half-day Fridays - every Friday!
