Customer Service Representative

Store location: 6780 Hayden Run Rd, Dublin, Ohio 43016

Full-time position with shift availability during days and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Customer Satisfaction:
  • Provides prompt, excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly, and attentive manner.
  • Greets customers upon entry and thanks them upon leaving.
  • Assists customers and offers product suggestions or recommendations.
  • Accurately rings up sales on the cash register, handling money, checks, and other payment types.
  • Operates fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine, and processes telecom transactions.
  • Adheres to dress and appearance code; reports to work on time.
• Facility Condition:
  • Maintains store cleanliness inside and out, performing general housekeeping duties.
  • Conducts basic upkeep and cleaning of all store equipment.
  • Inspects store facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order.
  • Notifies Store Manager of equipment failures, maintenance needs, or supply shortages.
• Merchandising:
  • Completes build-to orders for purchasing merchandise.
  • Receives and verifies vendor deliveries.
  • Maintains adequate stock levels throughout the store and in counter areas; rotates stock properly.
  • Places advertising and pricing signage inside and outside the facility, including marquees, ceilings, walls, and windows.
• Sales Controls:
  • Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses.
  • Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels and conducting shift audits.
• Financial Controls:
  • Maintains accurate cash, sales, and inventory control records; accounts for variances.
  • Notifies Store Manager of any sales, cash, or inventory discrepancies.
  • Follows Company and/or brand guidelines for product breakage or spoilage.
• Security Controls:
  • Reports incidents such as employee or customer injuries, theft, property damage, or improper sanitation/waste disposal.
  • Reports any unsafe, unlawful, or unethical conduct or situations that may lead to such.
• Administrative:
  • Keeps accurate records of shift and timekeeping paperwork.
  • May take inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Attends job-related meetings, which may require working irregular hours.
  • Provides regular and predictable onsite attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Ability to accurately operate equipment such as cash registers, scanners, hot/cold beverage dispensers, and other machines or tools.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts, including arriving on time.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) preferred.
• Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions as described.

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to cold or warm temperature extremes, including occasional work in a walk-in cooler, freezer, or outdoors.
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead (e.g., stocking inventory).
• Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist (e.g., replenishing fountain syrups).
• Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands for an entire shift, requiring eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds (e.g., using a hand-truck).
• Ability to reach overhead for objects.
• Ability to bend and twist at the waist.
• Ability to communicate orally.
• Ability to operate a cash register and/or computer keyboard.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, squat, bend, push, and pull.
• Ability to work alone.
• Exposure to occasional noise.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
• May require climbing a ladder to store/retrieve materials or place/remove signs.

Work Environment

• Performs approximately 95% of work indoors but may be required to clean parking lots, gas pumps, take out garbage, etc.
• Exposure to extreme cold temperatures while working in a walk-in cooler and/or freezer.
• Exposure to occasional noise.
• Works with minimum direction and periodic supervision.

Pay

Hiring range: $14.00 to $14.50 per hour.
