Customer Service Representative
About the role
The Customer Service Representative at ProMach handles all Service Agreements to improve customer efficiencies, trains on proper PM procedures, sells more aftermarket parts, and covers new equipment sales. They also handle regular service calls between service agreement visits, stay customer-focused, provide complete and total customer satisfaction, communicate with the Service Group, and work with Engineering to design specialty items.
Responsibilities
- Handle Service Agreements to improve customer efficiencies
- Train on proper PM procedures to keep machines from going hard down
- Sell more aftermarket parts and the value of Fogg Service
- Cover new equipment sales
- Handle regular service calls in-between service agreement visits
- Stay customer-focused, providing complete and total customer satisfaction
- Communicate with the Service Group to get reports done, get parts or information for the customer, and see which job is next
- Debrief Customer Service Manager-Service/Project Manager after service trips discussing information pertinent to general sales activities and new sales opportunities
- Work with the parts department to bring the extended parts list to the customer and express the importance of having long lead time items in stock
- Work with Engineering to design specialty items necessary to complete an order, which may involve systems and/or parts necessary to interconnect Fogg equipment with existing customer equipment
- Be able to work on mechanical, electrical, and programming issues
Requirements
- High School diploma and 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Skills including welding, parts fabrication, installation of machinery, basic electrical skills, light programming, and conveyor work
- Working knowledge of drafting and application to specifications and components
- Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical components
- Travel up to 25% of the work year
- Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- PC/Computer skills, including knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Knowledge of CAD preferred (SolidWorks used)
