Purpose/Mission Of Team

The purpose of the team is to support customers and process orders efficiently, contributing to the success stories of individuals and businesses. The team works collaboratively on various projects, including an SAP upgrade and a new quote process, which aim to improve supply chain management.

Two Projects We Are Working Now

  • An SAP upgrade project, which will enhance how the team processes customers and their orders.
  • A new quote process, which will streamline the order processing and customer service functions.

Accountabilities

  • Proactively communicates order status throughout the supply chain.
  • Responsible for providing Customer Satisfaction Score (XCS) as defined by the customer and measured by the customer report card.
  • Communicates customer requirements to domestic and overseas factories.
  • Manages order changes, cancellations, and expeditures with factories in accordance with policy.
  • Maintains general product knowledge to support customer inquiries.
  • Interfaces internally with cross-functional departments such as Credit, Product Management/Engineering, Logistics, and Accounting to communicate customer requirements and resolve daily business issues.
  • Utilizes customer websites as required to obtain purchase orders, provide ASN, and post invoices.
  • Creates and maintains customer profiles.
  • Executes SAP/Cognos reports to identify exceptions and resolve potential problems in the supply chain.
  • Effectively uses both written and verbal communication to achieve quick results.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or Business school training is preferred.
  • Plus 2 or more years of data entry experience.
  • 2 or more years of clerical experience in a sales support function.
  • Functional ability to operate a PC and appropriate software programs is mandatory.
  • SAP experience is preferred.

Key Competencies

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
