Customer Service Representative
About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Insurance Customer Service Representative to support our agency’s daily operations. This role is responsible for assisting clients with policy inquiries, processing changes, and ensuring a high level of service that strengthens client relationships and retention.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries via phone, email, and in-person
- Aid clients with policy changes, renewals, billing questions, and coverage explanations
- Process endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, and new policy applications
- Maintain accurate client records in agency management systems (CRM)
- Review policies for accuracy and identify coverage gaps or cross-sell opportunities
- Follow up on pending items, claims, and underwriting requests
- Support agents with administrative tasks and client communication
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company standards
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience (insurance experience preferred)
- Active Property & Casualty license (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
