Responsibilities

  • Work with customers and Pro-Seal sales representatives to satisfy quote requests, enter orders, issue purchase orders, and expedite transactions.
  • Provide high-value customer service through real-time responsiveness, accuracy, and a pleasant disposition.
  • Avoid upselling new or additional products to customers.
  • Survey potential markets and customers to increase sales.
  • Determine costs of purchases and issue quotations promptly.
  • Follow up, keep records, and expedite orders.
  • Develop product knowledge to understand and solve product applications and issues.
  • Coordinate technical services to inform customers about new products, specifications, and end uses.
  • Learn and know competitive products and companies.
  • Communicate with customers by phone or in person, handle orders, and perform follow-up to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Incorporate vendor discounts into sales.
  • Satisfy customer orders from Pro-Seal inventory or spot buys as needed.
  • Utilize computer operating software to manage customer service activities.
  • Update knowledge of computer operating systems to drive sales efforts.
  • Use vendor electronic resources for product information, order entry, product availability, and pricing.
  • Manage customer problems arising from product purchases.
  • Coordinate investigations with manufacturers for customer complaints regarding quality, tolerances, specifications, and product condition.
  • Follow up to ensure customer complaints are resolved satisfactorily.
  • Inform relevant personnel of the status and resolution of customer complaints.
  • Operate according to Pro-Seal Quality Manual principles and procedures.
  • Evaluate and improve standard procedures for efficiency.
  • Perform assigned tasks promptly.
  • Work safely and ethically, participating positively in team efforts.
  • Achieve self-improvement through training and workshops.

Qualifications

  • Experience in applying and operating various types of industrial processing equipment.
  • Experience using manufacturers catalogs and pricing sheets.
  • High-level communication skills with outside sales staff.
  • Prior sales experience is highly desirable.
  • Desirable knowledge of computerized business systems.
  • Willingness to acquire this knowledge through training and continuing education.
  • Proactive, confident, and self-directed with a focus on customer service and project completion.
  • Ability to stay organized, work productively, and efficiently.
  • Willingness to work overtime hours as needed.
  • Positive and courteous demeanor, good relations with customers, vendors, Pro-Seal employees, and all groups using the building.
  • Composure in emergency situations.

  • Computer Licenses: Microsoft Office, SAP.
