JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Provide courteous customer service in person, by telephone and through email.
  • Answer customer questions regarding water and wastewater utility services.
  • Process utility payments and maintain accurate customer account records.
  • Balance daily cash receipts and process deposits.
  • Process mail and perform general administrative support duties.
  • Assist with utility billing functions and payment arrangements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three (3) years general office experience involving significant public contact.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience.
  • Experience handling cash and balancing daily receipts.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

PRE-Employment Requirements

  • The selected candidate must successfully complete all required pre-employment screening requirements, which will include a background check and drug screening.
