Customer Service Representative
About the role
The Customer Service Representative at Carboline is responsible for driving a seamless customer experience throughout the order lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Accurately enter and manage customer orders from multiple channels, ensuring correct pricing, product details, and shipping terms.
- Cook up production, scheduling, and shipments; partner with expediting teams to prioritize and meet delivery timelines.
- Maintain a pulse on order progress and proactively communicate updates or changes to customers and sales teams.
- Collaborate with production and internal teams to resolve issues and meet customer expectations.
- Support inventory planning by recommending stock adjustments based on sales direction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies related to pricing, credits, freight, commissions, and quality standards.
- Process returns (RGAs) and credit memos efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain strong product and systems knowledge.
- Champion safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
Physical Requirements
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extended computer use (up to 8 hours per day). No significant physical exertion, lifting, or unusual environmental conditions are required.
Qualifications
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask are required.
