Responsibilities

• Answer telephones and greet clients
• Greet clients and prepare patient files
• Escort clients and patients to exam rooms
• Receive and relay client correspondence
• Update client financial records
• Diffuse negative client situations and foster client loyalty

Requirements

• Completed high school education
• Compassion for animals
• Willingness to work hard
• Ability to work as part of a team

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of animal care and routine procedures
• Knowledge of over-the-counter products and their uses
• Ability to educate clients on pet care and sales
• Experience with admitting and discharging patients and handling cash transactions
• Effective communication skills to explain treatment plans and estimates
• Positive attitude and ability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
