Customer Service Representative

About the role

Join our team to serve as a key point of contact for both internal and external customers. Manage inquiries, schedule shipments, handle requests, resolve issues, and ensure clear, timely communication to deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Schedule pick-ups, trace shipments, provide shipment ETAs, rate quotes, and freight charges
• Coordinate with internal departments, partners, delivery agents, brokers, and container stations to schedule shipments and handle customer issues
• Schedule delivery appointments and handle re-consignments
• Coordinate communication with customers, drivers, and Accounts Receivable regarding Driver Collect and C.O.D. shipments
• Absolutely ensure the accurate billing of shipments
• Compile and deliver custom reports; perform daily audits of reports
• Document all customer interactions for follow-up and record keeping purposes
• Assist customers with “My Pyle” registration and utilize our web site
• Meet the standards for all Key Performance Indicators (Call Quality, Process Knowledge Assessment, Adherence to Schedule, “Make Busy” %, Contacts per Hour)

Requirements

• 1 year of prior customer service experience preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced work environment; strong attention to detail
• Strong familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook); basic typing skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; work effectively as an individual contributor and/or as part of a team
• Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including but not limited to early mornings, evenings, and non-traditional holidays

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
