CUSTOMER SERVICE REP II - SSC

About the role

Join Dal-Tile, the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States and a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries. This position provides a variety of support, including servicing walk-in customers, completing sales transactions, and performing material handling duties such as receiving, loading/unloading material, pulling/assembling customer orders, and conducting inventory checks. Daily use of forklift equipment may be involved.

Expected base pay for this role ranges between $44,000 and $55,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Base pay is determined on an individualized basis and is part of a broader compensation package that may include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, and other company-sponsored benefit programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer service duties: assist walk-in customers, determine order requirements, answer inquiries, provide samples and selection assistance, complete sales transactions, and accept payments.
• Address and resolve customer complaints, including returns and order errors.
• Handle office administration tasks: process payments and receipts, reconcile daily sales reports (DSRs) and cash box, prepare bank deposits, balance petty cash, generate performance reports, update customer master files, and create vendor orders.
• Manage product orders: enter customer orders, create plant/regional distribution center (RDC) orders, and complete stock replenishment orders.
• Prepare sales slips and produce daily sales reports.
• Perform warehouse duties: pull and assemble customer orders, verify outbound order accuracy, conduct inventory stock checks, restock and label vendor products, maintain displays (tools, caulk, etc.), move and replenish material, and conduct daily cycle counts.
• Execute receiving duties: unload inbound material, process shipments, stock material, handle customer returns, and report damaged shipments for freight claims.
• Operate forklift equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, removing trash, cleaning, and performing general office maintenance.
• Uphold a safe working environment by adhering to all safety rules and reporting accidents, unsafe conditions, or acts to management.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of customer service and warehouse experience.
