About the role

This position serves as a Customer Services Rep / Account Manager within the Personal Lines Department, playing a crucial role in the agency’s success. The ideal candidate will assist in servicing insurance policies, providing quotes, issuing certificates, and managing customer accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Talk with customers, post payments, answer phones, process changes, assist with premium collection, and reconcile accounts.
  • Support Account Managers with special projects and client development.
  • Learn to be proficient and knowledgeable of the various company products.
  • Speak with customers and company personnel on the phone or in person during office visits and respond to all correspondence.
  • Issue the proper insurance verification documents to the insured (auto id, certificates, etc.)
  • Once licensed, provide additional Personal lines support, including answering coverage questions, recommending coverage types, processing policy changes, resolving customer problems, retaining renewal business, reviewing underwriting information, qualifying customers for improved programs, monitoring renewal premiums, cross-selling additional coverages, and preparing accurate quotes and proposals.

Requirements

  • Obtain a P&C Insurance License within 90-180 days of employment.
  • Possess strong customer service skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable experience with Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent keyboarding skills and overall computer skills.
  • Organize, prioritize, and manage workload in digital workflows.
  • Confident and outgoing personality.
  • Prior business office support experience is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
