About the role

Hennessey, Thames & Leavitt is seeking to expand its team with a new insurance agent. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in roles requiring attention to detail, strong communication skills, and excellent customer service. Candidates must also be willing to obtain a Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance License within 90-180 days of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting agents by processing policy changes, updating policies, attaching documentation, running reports, and entering data
  • Engaging with clients via phone, email, text, and in-office to provide excellent customer service, including taking claim information, providing billing assistance, assisting with policy changes, and issuing insurance verification documents
  • Proactively contacting clients to review policies and upcoming changes, quoting options through multiple companies, and making recommendations that meet the client's needs
  • Submitting proper documentation to carriers and mortgage companies, and verifying that documents received from carriers are correct
  • Serving as a liaison between clients and carriers, and supporting agency leadership with special projects, client development, and auditing policy information
  • Participating in agency-sponsored community events and service projects

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in roles that require attention to detail, strong communication skills, and excellent customer service
  • Willingness to obtain a P&C Insurance License within 90-180 days of employment
  • Comfortable working with multiple software programs and communicating with clients via text, email, and phone
  • An excellent communicator and listener, friendly, empathetic, and able to translate complex insurance details into understandable information for clients
  • Trustworthy, ethical, and discreet, taking responsibility seriously for being a part of clients' lives
  • Detail-oriented, capable of interpreting complex insurance contracts carefully
  • Comfortable working within a team environment, answering questions and providing service for all clients
  • Eager to grow and learn, participating in continuing education and training opportunities
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, flexible, positive, and able to pivot quickly to meet changing needs
  • Motivated to contribute, eager to be a part of the agency's growth trajectory
