Responsibilities

• Operate all store equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
• Prepare product (e.g., pizzas, dough, toppings).
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Verbal communication skills to process orders over the phone and in person.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to make correct monetary change.
• Motor coordination for rapid, precise movements (e.g., entering orders, handling pizza dough).
• Ability to use a computer keyboard or touch screen for order entry.

Work Conditions

• Exposure to varying weather conditions when performing outside tasks (e.g., removing trash).
• In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
• Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler), and hot surfaces/tools (ovens up to 500°F+).
• Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.

Sensory and Cognitive Requirements

• Talking and hearing on the phone.
• Near and mid-range vision for most tasks (e.g., reading orders, assembling pizzas).
• Depth perception for handling equipment and ingredients.
• Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work under stress, meet quality control standards, and make judgments/decisions.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Most tasks performed while standing; work surfaces range from 36" to 48" high.
• Walking: Short distances on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
• Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table.
• Lifting: Cases of ingredients/supplies up to 50 lbs (dimensions up to 3' x 1.5'), lifted from floor to shelves up to 72" high. Occasional carrying of pizza sauce (30 lbs) or trays of dough (12 lbs per tray).
• Pushing/Pulling: Trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 lbs).
• Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs or maintenance.
• Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at pizza assembly station (30–45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously). Bending also required at front counter and when stocking ingredients.
• Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
• Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, scooping ingredients, or answering phones.
• Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands for shaping dough, handling pizza peels, cutting pizzas, assembling boxes, and grasping cans/phones.
