Responsibilities
- Operate all store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk-in cooler.
- Prepare product, including shaping pizza dough and assembling orders.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Strong verbal communication skills for processing orders over the phone and in person.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to make correct monetary change.
- Motor coordination for rapid and accurate movements, including using a computer keyboard or touch screen.

Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks.
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or above in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters, hot surfaces (up to 500°F or higher), and moving mechanical parts.
Sensory Requirements
- Talking and hearing on the telephone.
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks, including depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Physical Requirements
- Standing: Most tasks are performed from a standing position.
- Walking: Short distances for short durations on surfaces like ceramic tile or linoleum.
- Sitting: Paperwork is completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting: Unloading bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) and stacking onto shelves up to 72" high. Carrying large cans (3 lbs, 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lbs), and trays of pizza dough (12 lbs per tray).
- Pushing/Pulling: Moving trays on dollies (force up to 7.5 lbs).
- Climbing: Infrequent use of stairs or ladders for tasks like changing signs or maintenance.
- Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist (e.g., pizza assembly, stocking ingredients) for 30–45 seconds at a time, repeated throughout the day.
- Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally to stock shelves or clean low areas.
- Reaching: Continuously in all directions (up, down, forward) for tasks like turning oven controls, stocking shelves, or answering phones.
- Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination is essential. Frequent use of hands for shaping dough, using pizza peels, cutting pizzas, and assembling boxes. Requires forceful pinching and grasping of tools, cans, and boxes.
