Work Conditions
- Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when performing outside tasks (e.g., removing trash).
- In-store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F+ in some work areas, with sudden temperature changes.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped quarters (e.g., walk-in cooler), and hot surfaces/tools (ovens up to 500°F or higher).
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensory and Cognitive Requirements
- Talking and hearing on the telephone.
- Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks.
- Depth perception and ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone or with others, and work under stress.
- Strong quality control standards, interpersonal skills, and ability to analyze/compile data and make judgments/decisions.
